About me

“It takes courage, trust and vulnerability to share your inner world with another person.”

The nature of person-centred counselling means you are in control of what you want to talk about and how to use your sessions. I understand it's a big step to find help at difficult moments in life.

My aim is to provide a space where you can discuss what's on your mind openly without judgment and with confidentiality, empathy and acceptance.

I've experienced how personal insight, understanding and profound change can be gained from effective counselling, and I hope I can support you on your journey of self-exploration.

Sefton Park, Liverpool

My approach

I'm an Integrative Counsellor, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic and behavioural approaches to offer holistic support to clients.

Whether relating to your past life experiences, present circumstances, or future decisions, I can offer support to meet your needs.

I work with clients on a range of topics including stress, anxiety, depression, loss and bereavement, relationship issues, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts and life goals.

Therapy outdoors

Walk and talk

I also offer outdoor sessions in Sefton Park and Otterspool Promenade. For many of us being outside provides the space, peace and inspiration to connect with our feelings.

Moving, breathing and connecting with nature can provide curiosity, self-awareness and natural conversation as an alternative or in addition to traditional indoor therapy.

In person Online Walk and talk

Your first session

Your first session will be an opportunity to explore what brings you to therapy, to form some goals and to plan how we’ll work together.

  1. 01

    Welcome and working agreement

Your first session starts with getting comfortable in the space and talking about how we’ll work together including confidentiality, boundaries and practical arrangements.

  2. 02

Exploring what brings you to therapy

This is an opportunity to discuss how you’re feeling and why you decided to start therapy. We’ll explore your hopes, needs and expectations at a comfortable pace that works for you.

  3. 03

    Forming collaborative goals

We’ll form some initial goals to provide structure and focus for us to check in with and adapt over time if needed.

  4. 04

    Summary and questions

We’ll summarise the session to make sure we’re on the same page and you can ask any questions you might have before deciding if you’re happy to book your next session.
